Keep Smiling!

Sometimes, you come across a song that just changes your day.

This one did it for me, and I hope it has a similar effect on you.

The lyrics are a little controversial, but the sentiment is very well-received.

Enjoy!

The Power of Breathing

Often, we spend days looking for that next big thing.

That next self-development course. That next personal improvement seminar. That next graphic-laden 'The Secret'-style DVD.

We spend so much time looking outside, that we don't look inside - into something that can truly change the way you feel RIGHT NOW.

. Your breathing patterns!

In today's video post, I'd like to chat briefly about "breathwork" - what it is, how it works - and how you can use it to enhance your mood, boost your immunity and rocket your mind power. Today.

Also...

After yesterday's blog post - 'Release Your Religion' - I received a large amount of negative feedback by e-mail. Most messages told me I was scheduled to burn in hell.

It seems that the title of this particular blog post aroused strong feelings in a subsection of readers - although most appeared not to have actually read the article.

To clarify: this wasn't an anti-religious blog post, but rather "religion" here was a euphemism for ANY limiting thoughts which may be holding us back.

It may include religion, certainly, but as the article clearly pointed out, that wasn't its core focus. A more succinct word for limiting beliefs escaped me while composing the post.

Right, that's all. See you again soon! x

Brainwaves 101

Enjoy limitless energy. Improve your relationships. Enjoy creative rushes. Rocket your IQ. Think faster and sharper.

... All by slipping on your headphones!

Yes, those are the kind of benefits you can enjoy when you get your brainwaves into a state of peak performance - using a process known as "brainwave entrainment."

You get the kind of benefits a Zen monk experiences after decades of contemplative practice.

Yet you start receiving these benefits within weeks.

And, after all - who has a spare 70,000 hours to spend meditating these days?

BUT - How does the science behind brainwaves work?

And how can creating specialised recordings influence your brainwave patterns?

Today, I'd like to share a video from brainwave pioneer Michael Kelley - who helped to develop the Brain Evolution System.

He'll explain how this "brainwave entrainment" program works - and how over 150 years of brainwave research can benefit YOU.

The Streets of London

Some years ago, a Bosnian doctor friend of mine uttered a few words that had more of an impact than she could possibly imagine.

Ksenija said:

"The problem with the world these days... is that people are bored."

They've become too familiar with "good living" and "freedom." They've gotten all too used to fresh running water and central heating. They've become downright complacent with comfort.

Suddenly the things which really matter are whether you've put an extra inch on the waistline, or that little crack in the bathroom tile.

Today, I want to jolt you back to reality.

I want you to understand - really understand - that you are living in glorious times.

I want you to appreciate - really appreciate - that you are living a fantastic life in a fantastic society, no matter how much you may disagree.

This evening I watched The Pianist - and when you truly grasp the sort of Jewish persecution that went on during WWII, you suddenly realize the freedom you don't even realize you have right now.

The problem with the world these days... is that people are bored.

Are you bored? With life? With it's many comforts? With safety?

And if you are -

Then snap out of it and get back to appreciating what REALLY matters.

Life. Love. Family. Friends. People. Hope. Spirit.

These are the things which make our fleeting life worth living.

And when you're ready, click the play button below and listen to this song to remind you how lucky you really are:

Patience and Persistence Pays

Do you ever have those days...

Those days where you throw your hands up in frustration and wonder why your dream plan isn't happening quickly enough?

I know I have before now.

Despite all your best efforts, time, energy and enthusiasm, it seems that your ambitions aren't materializing.

You may even feel as though you're still standing at the starting gates.

Yet some dreams take time to manifest.

And this is where patience and persistence is needed.

So many people give up ... just when they are on the brink of success ... simply because they didn't have the patience or persistence.

Imagine ... all that work, effort, energy, sweat and tears just pushed aside.

What a waste!

Giving up, of course, is always an option ... but is that what you really want to do?

Often, the only way is to push forward. Practice patience and be completely determined. Visualize your success.

Eventually, your plan will grow and start to produce results.

Take a look at this video:

(Visit www.karlblog.com to view video.)

Remember ... some things take time to grow.

So have patience and persistence.

Keep nurturing your dreams!

Postcard from Thailand

Bangkok and Phuket.

They were the two main tourist destinations of my recent journey to Thailand.

During that time, my friend and travel companion Mark Sandler took a series of videos - and has just compiled them into a fantastic YouTube video.

It's pretty good at giving you a "feel" for the whole place.

And note, whenever you see a straw hat or a yellow shirt - it's probably me.

BrainEv on US Television

You may remember that yesterday I discussed the "Brain Evolution System."

Now, "BrainEv" is a 6-CD brainwave program that puts your brain into a state of peak performance.

Bringing you awesome life benefits - such as sharper thinking, greater creativity, unlimited energy, an immunity to stress, and much more.

I've followed the program myself - and enjoyed the amazing results.

That's why in December 2007, I took over as the director of the company - and worked with the team to get this program out to the world.

And it was all unleashed YESTERDAY - November 3rd, 2008.

Today, I'd like to share a video with you to explain precisely what the Brain Evolution System is all about.

This is a feature aired on US television yesterday - and features the BrainEv Labs chief developer, Michael Kelley.

Just listen in to learn more about "BrainEv" - I'm sure you'll be interested in what he has to say.

Click on the play button to begin this video:

The Voice of Truth

Today, I'd like to share a fantastic little video with you, from modern Christian music band, Casting Crowns.

You don't need to be a Christian to enjoy this song. It's all about courage - and it'll inspire you, I guarantee it.

So, will you choose to listen - and believe the voice of truth?

Improve Your Music

I had a great friend visit this Saturday.

And he discussed with me how music is the single thing that spans all countries and cultures.

It's a way of communicating that our brains understand on a very deep level.

By association, music can also often put you into a certain mood.

Play some Chet Baker from "Playing By Hearts" for example - and you'll find it hard to stop the tears streaming from my eyes.

Other songs put me into that wonderous "FEEL GREAT - ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!" mood.

Today, I'd like to share a few of my favourite "YAY!" songs with you - to help get you into a great mood, too.

In the self-development world, people undervalue the importance of being surrounded by great music.

It's a form of motivation - and motivation, like showering (says Zig Ziglar), should be done daily.

(Now if you're reading this by e-mail, you won't be able to see the videos. So visit http://www.karlblog.com/ to tune in!)

So, here goes... starting with my current favourite, from The Kooks...

Christian the Lion

Today, I'd like to share a beautiful video.

There are no words of "wisdom" I'd like to accompany this post, just a suggestion that you watch this mini-movie.

It'll change your day.

And all it takes is a few short minutes.

This heart-warming video was sent to me by friend Mark Sandler - and certainly brought a tear or two to my eye.

I hope it touches you as much as it did me.

If You Want to Sing Out...

Today, a really profound video for those that really "get it."

It's a fantastic Cat Stevens song that I think you'll love.

Play it on loop. Understand the words. If you need to, change. And if you don't, don't.

Enjoy :)

(Reading this by e-mail? Visit www.karlblog.com to view the full thing.)

Lyrics:

Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
'Cause there's a million things to be
You know that there are

And if you want to live high, live high
And if you want to live low, live low
'Cause there's a million ways to go
You know that there are

Chorus:
You can do what you want
The opportunity's on
And if you find a new way
You can do it today

You can make it all true
And you can make it undo
you see ah ah ah
its easy ah ah ah
You only need to know

Well if you want to say yes, say yes
And if you want to say no, say no
'Cause there's a million ways to go
You know that there are

And if you want to be me, be me
And if you want to be you, be you
'Cause there's a million things to do
You know that there are

Chorus

Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
'Cause there's a million things to be

You know that there are
You know that there are
You know that there are
You know that there are
You know that there are

Hope for Happy Endings

Today, I'd like to chat about that distinctly human quality...

Hope.

The idea that things can change. That it can get better, that the day will be brighter tomorrow, that people will smile again.

When life seems empty, hollow, lacking direction - and just plain pointless - hope is the one thing that pulls us through.

And the great thing about you and me - is that we have it.

Miles and miles of unlimited hope, all stored neatly inside ourselves.

Think about it.

Are you feeling sorry for yourself right now?

Are there things in your life you've resigned yourself to having lost... or having second best... ?

Is there something you know you should change?

We always have HOPE.

A belief - an intention - of change for the better.

A knowingness that we can always hope for a brighter today - and accept those things we simply can't change (and maybe even become stupidly obsessed about).

Scottish author Alexander Chalmers said "The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."

In the areas of your life that are hollow right now...

... How's your hope looking?

And here's a thought.

Why not pump up your hope? Make it big and bright and beautiful. Keep it high. Stop feeling sorry for yourself - and get out and change the world.

Remember, your HOPE - your intention - sets your direction. (Read more about that here.)

So, hope for better things - and then make them happen.

Then get ready for many, many happy endings!

Love - Karlos ;)

PS. Here's a great video to get you inspired today! I absolutely love this song. Keep fascinated! Reading this by e-mail? View the video online at www.karlblog.com. Whoo-oh, whooh-ohhh!

If You Want the Rainbow

"Life is just a series of peaks and troughs.

"And you don't know whether you're in a trough until you're climbing out.

"Or on a peak until you're coming down.

"You never know what's around the corner.

"It's all good.

"If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain."

Aude Aliquid Dignum

One friend of mine, Joe Vitale, is in the habit of saying "Aude aliquid dignum!"

Or... "Dare Something Worthy."

Today's post is just a reminder of that. And I'm going to do it by giving a little perspective.

A few weeks ago, I watched the movie Contact, starring Jodie Foster. It's based on the novel by late Carl Sagan. Although I don't necessarily share all of Carl's views, he was a great man... and no matter what he may think, he's somewhere out there :)

The introduction to the movie however included an amazing three minutes of tracking back. From a picture of earth and its various radio signals... out into deep, deep space.

It's staggering -- and it should make you realize that we aren't that big after all.

Our actions really aren't of any real significance.

This blog post is hardly likely to ever go down in history. And as far as the "BIG EVERYTHING" is concerned, Karl Moore is hardly likely to ever really mean anything.

All we're ever likely to be, or do, or anything... is what we be, or do, RIGHT NOW.

So what could YOU dare that is worthy today?

And why not JUST DO IT...

After all, it's really not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Lloyd Jones said: "If you have tried to do something and failed you are vastly better than if you had tried to do nothing and succeeded."

So go on. Dare something worthy.

Now I'll leave you with my second favourite scene in the movie. The timewarps!

One Fine Day

How are you today?

Take a moment to reflect ... are you happy and fulfilled?

Are you enjoying the time of your life?

If not, then what are you going to do about it?

There is no better time than NOW so seize the day!

Not only seize it, but own it too!

Henry David Thoreau said: 'Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.'

So, make sure that you're focused on living your best time ever - NOW.

Let go of the sabotaging thoughts and feelings that are holding you back or telling you that you can't live your dream.

Realize that you're here to experience life and to enjoy it.

You are more than worthy of living your best time ever.

Consider the positive in your life and be grateful for everything that you have.

In fact, celebrate those simple but powerful gifts that you possess ... gifts such as love, kindness, forgiveness, compassion, vitality, freedom of spirit, joy and so on.

You really have so much to be grateful for.

Celebrate the uniqueness that is YOU!

When you focus on making this your best time ever, you really start to live life with meaning and truth.

So, make this the day that you change your life for the better.

Make this... One Fine Day.

Don't Rain On My Parade

"Never allow anyone to rain on your parade and thus cast a pall of gloom and defeat on the entire day.

"Remember that no talent, no self-denial, no brains, no character, are required to set up in the fault-finding business.

"Nothing external can have any power over you unless you permit it. Your time is too precious to be sacrificed in wasted days combating the menial forces of hate, jealously, and envy.

"Guard your fragile life carefully.

"Only God can shape a flower, but any foolish child can pull it to pieces."

In Having New Eyes

Everybody hurts.

You know, there's one little saying I carry very close to my heart:

"Everyone's having a rough time. Don't give them any more grief."

And isn't that just the truth?

We all get down. I mean, sometimes really down.

Down as in wanting the earth's crust to open up and swallow what little pride we have left.

Yes, indeed. Everybody hurts.

However we can always take solice in the idea that everything passes.

Today we hurt. Tomorrow we smile.

In the words of Hercule Poirot, (that oh-so-famous self-help guru), "Now, it is cloudy. In the morning, the sun shines. Such is life, madame."

So, are you hurting right now?

Do you feel low... lower... or, even lower than that?

And if so, maybe you could just find a small smile inside -- when you think of the sun that is already waiting to shine tomorrow morning.

The problem may not fade. But the way you see it will.

French novelist Marcel Proust said:

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes - but in having new eyes."

Yes, everybody hurts.

Allow yourself to hurt just a little. Then rest, and remember that the sun will shine again tomorrow morning. Allowing you to look at the issue with new eyes. Hopeful eyes. Eyes of happiness.

And smile.

Because you are.
